Lilacs

We grow specialty lilacs for the retail and wholesale cut flower trade. We offer a variety of potted lilacs for retail sales during the cherry season in June. Currently, we have about 1,000 plants that are growing in a different location than the cherry orchard. As with all farming, the season depends on the weather and the amount of rain we get. Usually, we expect to start harvesting about the last week of March or the first week of April for the cut flower market this will go on for over a month or more. We sell these at farmers markets and to the wholesale trade. In the future we are looking into having a lilac festival weekend at the cherry orchard. Lavender

About our lavender which is grown on our other farm. We currently have over and acre of lavender in cultivation with over 20 different types. This gives use a long bloom season in which to harvest from. At the cherry orchard in June during our cherry season we sell fresh lavender, dried lavender and also dried buds. We also have wreaths and oil for sell but each of these is in limited supply and goes fast. In the future we are also looking into selling lavender honey. So be sure to pick up some of our beautiful lavender during cherry season or e mail us for mail order.

Honey

A little about Big John's special cherry blossom honey. During the cherry bloom, hives are brought into pollinate the flowers. Once this is done we harvest the honey. This is truly a special blend of honey. It contains no fillers or additives nor is it heated, it is 100% raw. People use it for its special flavor in cooking, teas, and since it truly local for allergies we are told. So during cherry season in June be sure to pick up some of our special honey. We also sell a wildflower honey and in the future will have a very special lavender honey.
