Tips & Rules at BIG John's Orchard

Tips:
bullet You need to come before noon. This is the coolest part of the day and the selection is at its best. We have many types of cherries but they go fast.

bullet When you pick the cherries it is best to leave the stems on the tree.

bullet It tends to be warm so dress accordingly. This is also an outdoor activity so you tend to get dirty.

bullet There is also some walking around to find a good tree so wear walking shoes.

bullet We provide the buckets for picking and bags to take the cherries home.

bullet Our trees are short so ladders are not needed.

bullet We have portable sanitation at the orchard.

bullet If you need any assistance feel free to ask.

We ask that you please follow these rules when picking at our orchard. They are for your safety and for us to maintain a healthy orchard for your return. Thank you.
Rules:
bullet No eating of cherries is allowed in the orchard. It is fine to test a tree to see if is ripe.

bullet What ever cherries you pick you must buy.

bullet No ladders, chairs, strollers, or ice chests can be used in the orchard and are not allowed in the orchard.

bullet No climbing in the trees or breaking of the branches is allowed. The breaking of the branches keeps us from being able to harvest cherries from that branch in future years.
